Description:

Identified in 1993 by Nasser Khaleb al-Khasawneh, the church yielded a single bilingual inscription in Greek and Christian Palestinian Aramaic, together with mosaic pavements depicting vegetal, animal, and human figures; several panels exhibit signs of iconoclastic defacement. During the Umayyad era, a Muslim prayer space (muṣallā) was appended to the church complex.
