Description:
Archaeological investigation exposed only the eastern sector of the building, as a modern residence covers the remainder. The edifice, a modest church referred to as the Lower Church, occupies the northwestern edge of the site beside a contemporary roadway. Its plan consists of a central nave with two flanking aisles, an eastern apse, and a pair of pastophoria. A mosaic pavement survives in the northern aisle; immediately before the presbyterial zone the mosaic contains a circular medallion embellished with vegetal ornament and two amphorae.
