Description:

The village’s name implies the presence of an ecclesiastical establishment at the location, likely a church or a monastic institution. Nevertheless, the report for 1973 contains no record of such a structure and does not indicate the findspot of the CPA inscription. On the basis of the place-name, Naveh argued that the site should be identified as either a church or a monastery.
