J. Jarry) ‘Oh God of Eternity, have mercy on us!’ commentary: This exclamation with a request for mercy contains a quotation from Psalm 51. According to Jarry, ܐܠܥܠܡܐ makes little sense from the point of view of grammar. He suggests that the expression could have been patterned on Genesis 30:33: ‘in time to come.’
