TIB 15, p. 1338. ..] ܐܢܐ ܪܒܢ ܕܢܚܐ ܕܒܢܝܬ ܒܡܥܡܘܕܝܬܐ ܒܟܦܪܐ ♰ ‘C’est moi Raban Denho qui ai édifié dans le baptistère dans le village de …’ (tr. J. Jarry) ‘I, Raban Denho, who built in the baptistery in the village of …’ commentary: Jarry rightly expected that this inscription contained the ancient name of the modern village of Kafr Mū. It is truly a pity that the second part of the toponym is lost. Klaus Peter Todt and Bernard Andreas Vest vocalized the name of the donor as “our master Denḥā".

Commentary

Jarry rightly expected that this inscription contained the ancient name of the modern village of Kafr Mū. It is truly a pity that the second part of the toponym is lost. Johannes Koder vocalized the name of the donor as “our master Denḥā".
