Description

Situated on the southern slope of Mount Carmel, the site preserves Roman-period remains, including segments of walls, sarcophagi, and burial caves. In the vicinity of the modern town of Eliaqim, two inscriptions have been documented. One, carved in Samaritan script, appears above the entrance to a burial cave (CIIP V 7511). The other, consisting of a Greek personal name, is incised on a sarcophagus (CIIP V 7512). Further reading: CIIP V Eliaqim, 1625-1626.
