Description
Situated on the flanks of Djebel Sim'an, Ṣūġāna preserves evidence of both ecclesiastical and monastic architecture. Within the settlement, two churches are recorded: the southern building survives in a severely ruined state, while the northern church is comparatively well preserved. Approximately one kilometre from the village lie the vestiges of a monastery, accompanied by associated economic installations, including an oil press, water tanks, and two cisterns.
