Description
Distinguished by a rare four-story domestic tower—among the more notable examples of its type in northern Syria—Sarǧibla also retains a cluster of religious structures in a good state of preservation, including both a chapel and a church that date to the fifth century. The site itself is a modest settlement situated within the Jebel Halaqa region. Further reading: TIB 15 – Todt, K.P., Vest, B.A., 2014. Tabula Imperii Byzantini, vol. 15, Vienna, 1702.
