Description

A site commonly linked in the literature to Saint Sergius stands beside the route leading to Burnus; nevertheless, the dedication is not securely evidenced by the available sources. This church is one of three documented ecclesiastical ruins within the settlement historically known as Eneš, today Gümüşgün, which lies on the river’s western bank of the Euphrates.
