Hazinedere Complete

Description

A Syriac inscription preserved on the Hazinedere Mosaic from Sabuncu (Siverek district, near Edessa) refers to a monastic function, which points to the presence of a monastery at the site. Beyond this, nothing is known about the building. The mosaic is noted briefly in the publication by Brelaud, Daccache, Ruani, and Bağlayıci.
