Description

At Halwah, A. Abou‑Assaf documented three Syriac inscriptions originating from a monastic church; his publication has not yet been subjected to thorough analysis. The site itself lies along the left margin of the Euphrates, roughly 15 km to the north of the town of Al‑Marbat. Further reading: Abou Assaf, A., 1972.
