Description:

The church has a three-aisled plan and stands within a courtyard, accompanied by additional ecclesiastical structures. Within the interior, varied depictions occupy four principal zones: the presbytery, the nave, the eastern terminus of the north aisle, and the southern sacristy. The inscription is set in the sacristy on the south side of the central apse. A total of six inscriptions are preserved inside the building: five in Greek and one bilingual (Greek and CPA). The site came to scholarly notice in 1935 through the Franciscan Jerome Mihaic and was subsequently subjected to detailed study by Sylvester Saller. A plan of the church is published in Michel 2001, p. 341. For further reference: - Michel, A. 2001.
