Description:
On the chapel’s northern flank, a contiguous chamber—identified as Room 25 on the plan—was uncovered. Its floor preserved a mosaic pavement. In the southern portion of the room, a carpet-like rectangular panel measuring 2.40 by 1.75 m was laid out in black-and-white tesserae at a density of 49 per square decimeter, forming a lattice of lozenges. Within the central area toward the east, six of these lozenges enclose squares rendered in a black-and-white checkerboard arrangement.
