Building type: church
Context:
church
Site:
Burdaqlī
Description:
As documented in the plan by Butler and Smith (1969), two churches once stood at Burdaqlī. The structure designated on the plan as the South Church preserves its exterior walls; its interior, however, was cleared of remains when the building was adapted for use as a cattle enclosure. The other church has been completely obliterated. The inscriptions published by Jarry cannot be securely attributed to either of these two buildings. Plan reference: Butler, H., Smith, E. B., 1969.
