Dated to 473/494 AD, the church at Ḫirbat al-Ḫaṭīb is a three-aisled arcaded basilica whose ground plan is nearly square, an uncommon configuration. The sanctuary includes an apse and a semicircular presbytery, accompanied by two flanking side chambers. Entry is from the south, where two doorways are provided. Source of plan: Butler, H. C.
