monastery

Description:

Within the monastery’s principal edifice, examples of Syriac epigraphy were recorded. Although the chamber now survives in a ruinous condition, the extant archaeological remains indicate that it once rose to two, and possibly three, storeys. For further reference, see: Butler, H. C.
