Description:
Within the monastery stood a modest two-storey structure adjacent to a stylite column. The ground floor served a liturgical function, whereas the upper level was used as living quarters. Briquel-Chatonnet, Desreumaux, and Khoury report that a Syriac inscription was discovered on a lintel, which they describe as belonging to a church; however, the designation of this small building—whether properly a church or a chapel—remains uncertain.
