date: 400-700 CE description: Inscription on mosaic in the south end of the synagogue, near beam, recorded names. The mosaic is dated to the Phase III. The inscription, much damaged while documented, was put next to an eight-sector circle executed in white, blue and red tesserae. The circle was surrounded by some Jewish symbols such as: menorah on a tripod stand, a shofar, and some floral motives. ed.
