Description
ʿArdnas, also called Arnas and Urnus is a village situated on the road from Midyat / Mediad to Hah in Ṭūr ʿAbdīn region. Our map gives an approximate location. The coordinates shown on the map are those of Midyat. The site is known for the church of Saint Kyriakos / Mor Cyriac (which is a modern dedication). It houses a number of inscriptions first discussed by Henri Pognon, later by Andrew Palmer, and Basile Aggoula, but most of them are much later than the ninth century.
