Description

Medieval written sources constitute the principal testimony for the settlement of Alama. Although archaeological investigations have not revealed the physical remains of a synagogue in the vicinity, inscriptions recovered in excavation point to the presence of such a building at Alama. The site lies in the Upper Galilee, approximately 9.5 kilometers north of Zephat. Further reading: Naveh, J. 1978.
