Description
An abandoned monastery in Jabal Bārīšā registered in TIB 15 on p. 1124 as Duwayr Rīḥ. Also spelt: Doueir Riḥ, Dayr Rīḥ, Burǧ ad-Duwayrīḥ, Rīḥ, and ar-Rīḥ. Our map gives an approximate location. Klaus Peter Todt and Bernard Andreas Vest in TIB 15 mention typical features of a monastic establishment such as a walled courtyard and community buildings.
