Description
Stablat is a village in Jabal Ḥaṣṣ in proximity of Kafr Ḩawt / Kafr Ḩūt / Kafer Hoûte; both sites lie to the south-east of Beroia/Aleppo – as declared by Pognon 1907, p. 55, note 1. We have not found a corresponding record in TIB 15. Our map gives the location of Kafr Ḩawt. Pognon visited the site in April of 1901. He mentioned it very briefly as a deserted village where he found a Syriac inscription. There is no detailed description. Literature & inscription: Pognon, H. 1907. Inscriptions sémitiques de la Syrie, de la Mésopotamie et de la région de Mossoul, Paris, Imprimerie Nationale, 55, no. 19.
