Description

A locality in Jabal Jabal al-Aʿla registered in TIB 15 on pp. 1644-1645 as Rasm al-Aḥmar (2); also spelt: Rasm el-Aḥmar, ar-Rasm al-Aḥmar. The site has not been thoroughly studied but the ruins suggest that it has been occupied before Late Antiquity. Funerary architecture is well represented. A survey by Lauffray brought a Greek inscription while Mouterde & Poidebard also recorded a Syriac graffito.
